THE COMPANY
Hinnigan tm creates beautiful fabrics and accessories in Scotland; the choice of renowned fashion houses worldwide.
Hinnigan tm was established in 2001 by Brian and Anna Hinnigan.  Both are graduates in textiles and worked with high profile names for over a decade before starting up their own label.  The distictive Hinnigan style is the work of fabric designer Brian Hinnigan and has been inspirational to fashion houses Bill Blass, Paul Costelloe, Ann-Louise Roswald, Eley Kishimoto, Agnes B, Pringle, Matthew Williamson and others.  Hinnigan's export markets include Japan, Korea, Europe and North America.
The company ethos combines contemporary design and technologies with the traditional craftsmanship of the Scottish Borders textile industry.  The resulting unique collection of fabrics and accessories is produced to a quality standard hard to find in an age of 'throw away' fashion.
Often copied, but always original, Hinnigan tm continues to push the boundries of woven design.
BRIAN HINNIGAN
After leaving school in Kelso, Scottish Borders with a love of pattern, texture and colour Brian studied Woven Fashion Textiles at Brighton.  He graduated with BA Hons in 1990 and started his first job as assisstant designer with Linton Tweeds in Carlisle, supplier to Chanel.  After working for Polgat, a supplier to Marks and Spencer, Brian went on to become a designer at Gardiner of Selkirk.  After 5 years, he moved to the Scottish Highlands to join Hunters of Brora as design and Sales Director.
He co-founded Hinnigan in 2001 with Anna Hinnigan.

ANNA HINNIGAN

Anna's love of textiles was inspired by her mother, who taught her dressmaking and developed her keen eye for quality and colour.  After graduating from the Scottish College of Textiles, Galashiels in 1993 with BSc Hons in Textiles she worked for Pringle of Scotland in quality control.  After 5 years with Dawson International she moved to Castleblair, a supplier to Marks and Spencer, as a Fabric Technologist.

She co-founded Hinnigan in 2001 with Brian Hinnigan.
